As an insurance and claimant man ( yes such firms do exist in our strange adversarial system) I think the Claimant reps on this thread are missing the point, which is: these are made up injuries which have been allowed to flourish because of uninterested judges and money grabbing experts. The vast majority of claims we see are ones which involve less impact than is encountered daily on a dodgems ride at the fair. Yet experts are routinely happy to suggest that a victim will suffer for symptoms for the next 2 years without actually carrying out any physical examination. It's a racket and although it will eventually cost our firm a lot of money in fees I for one will glad to see the back of an industry which has zero benefit to individuals or society as a whole.
