The reforms are long overdue along with the misconception that has been fuelled ONLY by the claimant PI firms that ANY accident has a monetary value in terms of injury.
The public are fed up with hearing about "whiplash" and the fact a minor sprain has a value that somehow exceeds £1000 which is oddly the amount a firm needs to secure in order to make it worth while.
I was at a local fete the other day and watched the dodgem cars hitting each other at speeds that far exceeds most of the claims submitted, no seatbelts worn, no NCAP rating for safety and yet oddly nobody seemed injured.
This whole industry has been led by the greed of claimant PI firms, this greed has rubbed over into CMC's.
The general public at large will welcome these reforms and whiplash and compensation for low value claims will be only found in history books along with thankfully most of the claimant PI firms whilst the CILEx set up random failing business's
