Whiplash, or forced flexion injury is not a fake.

I've had it before and it is a royal PITA.

Until someone comes up with a reliable and quick test for muscle and tendon damage to the neck, the risk is a lot of people are going to be under-compensated.

It seems everyone will be assumed to be a lying scumbag.

Mine was acutely painful for about a couple of months and an ongoing ache and restriction for over a year. You can't sleep comfortably and leaning forward to type was painful and you feel a right berk with a support collar on which eases the pain but does not allow the affected area to strengthen again, so I was told.

This will become a human rights issue if people cannot get proper redress.

I would pump some money into testing for torn muscle.

They can do troponin test to detect the enzymes after a heart attack. Cannot something similar be done for torn muscle in the neck? Surely, the body produces something detectable after a genuine trauma?

That would sort the what from the chaff.

Get onto it MoJ.
