Tin Man - you assert that other countries do not have this problem but this is false. Italy has 50% more claims and double the damages per case. The average ROI payout is €15,000.

The ABI previously coined the phrase “the whiplash capital of Europe” which has been quoted endlessly without anyone checking its truth. In reality we are about average, with the richer European economies above us, and the poorer ones below us. When considering our economic status we are probably slightly underpaying.

The situation unique to the U.K. is the acceptance of a false narrative and allowing victim status to be claimed by the insurers as against those actually injured. Hardly a sound basis for changing the law eh?
