It is reassuring to note that the Justice Select Committee is actually one of the few groups within Parliament which holds this government to account and is challenging them appropriately (whether criminal legal aid or raising the small claims track). Even though he is a Tory, Bob Neil actually appears to give a damn about the rights that have been and are being eroded and the effect they have upon the citizen.

Whether HMG actually listen is another matter entirely, but it is reassuring that some do still believe in the system.
