I once knew an individual, where the mortgagee took possession of the business (a rest home) for failure to maintain the mortgage payments; he was bankrupted and the mortgagee then continued to run the business and kept the profits presumably without accounting to the trustee. Finally when the property market recovered, the bankrupt managed to pursuade the trustee and mortgageee that by raising a mortgage on the property he could payoff the original mortgage and creditors, which he did and resumed ownership of the business. I remain anonymous.
