I am very grateful to the Law Society for acting on this, as it is definitely an issue. My firm is denied entry to the vast majority of panels, simply because we do not have enough partners to meet the lenders' criteria. Their criteria are openly discriminatory against smaller firms, and it is a depressing state of affairs to have to explain to long-established clients that we cannot act for them on transactions that we have more than sufficient expertise to handle.
