Well the timing of this one is pretty interesting isn’t it?

The referral fee was breached mainly by insurers who found profit share, marketing partnerships and joint enterprises so that they could bring the victims’ data and share this with solicitors for some sort of payment.

GDPR comes in and prevents sharing of personal data.

Suddenly insurers now think everyone needs to stopped from doing what they have done for the last 5 years.

Pots and black kettles spring to mind.
