However, when it was pointed out that it is males that are under-represented our in CPS/GLS your "Failure to offer opportunities on merit" assertion quickly transmuted into arguments about who applies for posts and child care arrangements. ...So when it is men who are under-represented can we assume that imbalance has nothing to with failure to offer opportunities on merit?
