She was a Minister at MoJ (of all places) when Mr Hoare, the (attempted) Rapist who Won the Lottery, drew the winning ticket.

And she said "Of course there is no question of him having the money for himself - the court of public opinion won't allow that".

So much for the Rule of Law from one of its guardians. Fortunately Camelot preferred to act in accordance with the law as determined over the centuries by the courts of common law and equity and paid Mr H his money, leaving his erstwhile victim to assert her rights in those same courts, which she did.
