Well well well well ..... And they say there is no cash in the Legal Aid Scheme to pay for Criminal Defence. When I and the Clerks at my firm when I was training did PS Work, the PSGF paid for attendance and the hearing afterwards that the PS Solicitor attended. If they didn't attended then the Duty on the day on the Mags would have represented. There would also have been no Silk employed for a Sentencing Hearing.

Very worrying. I suspect a slight amount of fighting over a lucrative 'client' was anticipated?

Has it really come to this?
