Deserves prison I'm afraid, stealing from everybody in the country who contributes to the NHS.
The whole industry really does need to look at itself to try and save what's left of its reputation, you guys know it happens and could probably name names to help bring these cases earlier but instead you simply bury your head in the sand.
Clinical Negligence claims against the NHS really does need to be reviewed and I can see at some point a waiver being introduced which will eliminate these claims, "if you want treatment that has an element of risk attached sign here and accept the risk" all that money taken from an already crippled NHS.
Anybody who works on these cases really should look at the bigger picture when they celebrate their huge fee's
