Not sure why my comments yesterday about my late aunt's estate generated such dislike. I omitted to say that the solicitor drew up her will, and three codicils, the last of which created an intestacy, requiring a post-death deed of variation to correct it - his first draft DoV created a further intestacy, spotted by two family members (also solicitors). Perhaps you can now understand why the legacy is a sore point.
