I think that the time has come for us to make a stand against this - perhaps by some sort of boycott. It is not realistic to give any timescales on conveyancing matters, which is self evident to any property solicitor. Perhaps the Law Society could give some sort of lead in this - or are they conflicted?
We are now of course also facing the added burdens imposed on us regarding indemnity policies. They are turning conveyancing into a bureaucratic nightmare, and quite why I cannot tell. The regulators do not seem to have had any experience in business, and are just driven by "consumer" dogma.
