Sadly, section 28 of the LSA 2007 doesn't require the SRA to be transparent. It requires the approved regulator (which is the Law Society, not the SRA) to "have regard to...the principles under which regulatory activities should be transparent, accountable, proportionate, consistent and targeted only at cases in which action is needed".

Nevertheless, the SRA makes great play of its alleged commitment to transparency, despite being in no way transparent.
