I believe it is very wrong to mix workplace bullying (extremely common) with sexual harassment (more rare) . They are essentially different and arise in different circumstances. Bullying in the workplace is absolutely rife, is under reported and even when it is, HR teams are ineffectual in dealing with it . The mixing up of the 2 and the ridiculous obsession by the media and movements such as Me Too with sexual harassment in fact helps mask the reality of the epidemic in everyday bullying in the workplace and is causing it not to be taken seriously enough . I speak as a professional Locum solicitor who has worked in upwards of 60 solicitors firms and have seen it all over the years.
