This is very late indeed. I sought to do something like this in 2016 and the LS and Bar President's along with the then APIL CEO all adopted the approach that it was premature to adopt a profession-wide stand against the attack on access to justice that began following LAPSO. Striking criminal lawyers and civil lawyers should be joined by striking judges to demonstrate clearly the point, but alas, the "professions" have no collective leadership, despite my attempts to set up a collective one in 2016. As yet more time has passed, yet more lawyers and their clients have had financial hardship across several practice areas, I feel this is too little too late, but let's see how it develops.
