This information is insufficient; What are the degrees of severity of injury, loss or damage inflicted by intoxicated people? What is their criminal history? Mitigating circumstances? Did they exhibit any remorse or take responsibility for their actions?

Law & sentencing is, quite rightly, case by case. This reeks of someone doing some digging to suggest the justice system is bias against women, when one needs only look at family law/courts and divorces to get see true bias in practice. It feels like the woeful stats of gender pay gaps again.
