To be fair, I beleive I read Alison Saunders commenting in February this year, abaut the fact that CPS/Police were consistently refusing to release vital evidence to the defence until after the last minute and the Court Hearing, which is what we still found by later in the year. If her problem is that her advice was ignored, she should have made a point of getting out far earlier, and breaking her contract, on the grounds that no-one was listening. That is part of the reason for the higher pay scales for such jobs: that such people will 'take responsibility' and where necessary speak out! There's no point sobbing to the Observer. She had a duty to get out sooner, if necessary.. and very loudly and publicly!
