Well it isn't anything new is it (just ask Dick the Butcher). They will never be able to get at big firms or football clubs (just ask Sir John Stevens) or anyone else who is laundering money on any scale, so of course they are going to vilify the small firms of Solicitors. I get up every morning and think "I know, I am going to help a criminal launder money today, that's why I went into the law" (irony by the way if you can't tell Mr Wallace). Honestly, it is a disgrace Mr Wallace and you ought to be ashamed of yourself for those comments. By the way, since I became MLRO in 2002-ish I have made around 80 referrals to the body whose name is constantly changing (at what cost to the taxpayer for the name change and the referrals that were never followed up?) so I must be keeping up the reporting single-handedly if the figures are to be believed.
