I suspect you are not the only solicitor currently considering that option.. sorry, whose friend is considering that option. My friend is also and is wondering what the heck he/she just paid practicing cert fees for, this is a cost that will only be passed on to the consumer/customer/[insert current name for client] so really should be done away with in the name of bargain basement pricing for all.

When this trickle of interest in incorporating becomes a flood, presumably all unreserved work will end up being undertaken by similar service companies for competitive prices and zero comeback. It's so cheap and easy to establish a company in the UK, this could be done every six months by the liability averse.

genuine question: could a freelancer set up service company, provide legal services via that, not procure PII and avoid personal liability for any negligence on their part that way? (asking for a friend).
