Solicitors are special. Very special. Anyone who claims otherwise has no knowledge of our special status.
We are supposed to be immaculate in all our dealings, be it professional or private. Saints almost.
We are supposed to make accurate forecast about the progress of a case, costs, judges' decisions.
We are supposed to make no mistakes working under severe stress emanating from partners, judges, clients, SRA...
But when it comes to discipline, effectively prosecution, we aren't special and the lower standard of proof should be sufficient?
If higher standard is expected of us at all times, then apply high standard when before SDT.
