Having dealt with some solicitors who are part of these firms I find them frequently to be unsupported, often unavailable and frankly often not that good - presumably this may the only way they can actually find work. It certainly does not apply to everyone and some have been very good - however they seem to move on, which is hardly surprising as, per the general gig economy, the work model is not that appealing. It is a shame because it could be a good idea but quality is extremely variable. The article looks like a press release slightly tweaked. It would be good to see real reporting on this trend instead.
