Modern slavery generally is condemed by and in society today. However in the solicitor's profession it is condoned and, if you are the slave master, often viewed as commercially expedient. And those who 'regulate' the profession maintain a deafening silence when the issue rises to the surface. No doubt that they are hoping that soon it will sink below the surface once more - enabling them to get back to their practising their traditional dogmatism.
