I am always puzzled when I read comments like Mr Ryan's. Perhaps I have been living a sheltered life but I have seen nothing that suggests that 'remainers' (that is, people concerned about the impact on the people living in this country of leaving the EU) have been intolerant and I should be grateful for specific examples as (being a lawyer) I rather like to see the evidence for any proposition. On the other hand there were following the referendum a significant number of well-documented examples of racial abuse and threats directed towards residents of this country perceived as being immigrants, and people exercising their democratic right to seek to challenge the 'leave' decision through lawful means because they believed it was not in the general interest. In particular I recall newspaper headlines calling the judges of the Supreme Court 'enemies of the people' for doing the job they are required to do.
