it is a bit dismaying that a "high flying legal career" is seen as the be all and end all. not everyone wants that. what happened to work-life balance? public service? humility? I have enough to live comfortably up here in the frozen north and would absolutely detest working in any big city for high wages and even higher expectations. Presumably just so I could send my kids to an expensive school in order that they too could grab all they can get. it's all a bit nauseating (being a common comp yob I double checked the spelling of that last word on google)
