I'm really embarrassed to find that I'm a member of a profession which it would appear think themselves higher and mightier than the humble joe public. Surely we can cope with a little inconvenience in being searched if need be? My goodness, our profession needs to man up.

I'm more than happy to be searched going into any venue. In fact, it provides some comfort to know that I, and other visitors to the venue, will have gone through the same security measures.

And as for that poor security guard who "unintentionally used inappropriate language", how else is he meant to make a request of this nature? "Excuse me m'lady, but would you be so kind as to place your left foot approximately 8 to 10 inches away from your right foot?". Let's not forget - it was HER that refused to empty her bag in public. No wonder he therefore wanted to pursue his function as security officer. For goodness sake....
