My own view is that Lewis should have walked away and let the police deal with any threats he was receiving. That's easy to say, of course.

However, given the circumstances, the SRA should never have put the allegations (other than the Facebook allegation) before the SDT. My guess is that the SDT was not happy with the SRA for putting it in a position in which it had to adjudicate on the allegations, but felt that it had no alternative but to impose a fine (cf SRA v Mahmood, 11625-2017).
