The abuse Mr Lewis experienced was vile, hateful, and utterly despicable. That said, I am a little uneasy at Mr Lewis's responses, in the same general tone. However, what I find even more concerning is that, according to another commentator on a different thread (quoting the finding): "[t]he tribunal heard from an SRA investigator who confirmed she did not have access to the messages that had prompted Lewis’s responses, which had come from accounts which have since been deactivated. No attempt had been made to gain disclosure of these messages from the High Court, and the SRA’s case was presented with no context as to the messages Lewis had received."

In other words, Mr Lewis's messages were judged without knowledge or understanding of their context. Thus while uneasy with Mr Lewis's reported posts, I am even more uneasy with the fact a very partial case was brought against him: the context may not condone, but it would explain, and merit (in my view) a much more lenient outcome.
