Anon at 14:11: I am going to hazard a guess you’re not a lawyer but a layman. Because missing from your post is any notion of solidarity. Did you read the threats and abuse he received and to which he retaliated? Vile is an oft used term in such circumstances but it really doesn’t to any degree encapsulate the nature of the abuse he received. I fail to see how a fact-specific case like this could possibly damage the confidence the general public have in the profession and I’m inclined to agree with the sense of disgrace some feel in the SDT’s decision because it will fuel the sense of entitlement in anti-semites as they launch their next on line campaign of abuse towards their next victim.

I’m disheartened by the regulator’s crusade but heartened by the crowdfunding campaigns and high profile public support within the profession for someone I have total sympathy for.
