Banks have been defrauding their clients for years. My experience involved my company bankers literally stealing proceeds from letters of credit, bank transfers and payments from trust accounts. To avoid claims from clients caused by these frauds, and knowing the difficulties involved in taking legal action against a bank, I liquidated my company leaving an overdraft with the bank of £36,000 as part payment towards the damages they had done.
