This the Russian authorities we are talking about; they don't give a fig about money laundering or extortion and given that no western government or legal authority seems prepared to do anything about pursuing those who have illegal dealings with Russia I am only surprised that the claimant didn't think he would be better off forum-shopping on the moon.
