Surely we've got to move with the times. In a vacuous, disposable, shallow, lowest common denominator, nonsensical society, is it not incumbent on all of us to behave in a vacuous, disposable, shallow, lowest common denominator, nonsensical manner? I'm all for a legal profession based tv programme entitled either 'The Trainee' or 'The Pupil', in which younsters engage in an unseemly scramble for a training contract or a pupillage. I'm sure that we can all come up with suggestions, drawn from the ranks of arrogant City senior partners and pompous silks, to take on the Alan Sugar rôle.
