No mention of the Penge bungalow murders would have passed Rumpole's lips without also letting it be known that he acted alone, without a leader. Also, there was more than one murder.

While I'm here and being unattractively pedantic, there is only one 'm' in Pomeroy, and his favourite tipple, from my memory, always appeared to be Chateau Thames Embankment.
