Thanks for your reply - one thing we can definitely agree on is that our democracy is a sham, especially with an unelected HoL and Monarch at the helm!

I do love the way you say that we owe nothing to the opinion of the dead and then eloquently quote them, perhaps we do owe much opinion to the dead and my love of history says we can probably learn an awful lot from them.

My only sticking point is that we still have not enacted the first referendum before asking for another; if we are to believe what we are told then most of those that voted to leave are the same folk that voted to join the EC, something I would be very much in favour of joining. Unfortunately in my (not so) humble opinion the EU strips democracy away from the people.
