I have wondered, ever since we started welcoming foreign. inc State-owned, businesses to come and run our infrastructure - railways, power generation, ...- why China didn't leap at this opportunity to run, in particular, power stations (it's started in a small way). The senior staff would of course be Chinese, quite easily secretly trained in sabotage, so that one day, in every station, an inoffensive message would arrive for one of them, who would quietly tell his colleagues that in x days each of them, with any family, would be picked up and flown by special plane back to China, and they should start packing, ready to go. The team would have hidden explosives in key parts of the plant, which would put it out of action for weeks after their timers were remotely activated (probably at night) and the emergency evacuation sirens sounded - probably accompanied by a small explosion where no workers would be found.
As I say, I wonder why - ah, yes, the Chinese thought of that years ago.
