The 2008 recession was so long and deep that many conveyancers were made redundant and when the economy eventually recovered and we needed conveyancers once again there was a critical shortage. Not surprisingly we are now dealing with many young and semi trained people. We were warned years ago to expect the commoditization of the conveyancing process and when the lenders no longer send the mortgage advance to the solicitor and they introduce blanket title indemnity insurance cover there will be little else for us to do.
