I think Anon 10.31 assumes like most people who aren't lawyers that what they pay for a legal service is entirely the income of the lawyer. In any other context - let's say buying groceries from a corner shop - you'd entirely understand that the shopkeeper had to buy stock and pay all their other bills including staff wages before they saw a penny in profit. I wonder why people don't think this applies to lawyers?
