I hate to admit it, but I’m in agreement even if it does read a bit Daily Mail as you say. Was it last year there was the story of the jealous girlfriend wo stabbed her ex-partner, but was released because she was at Oxford and wanted to become a doctor? Goodness knows how it would have been reported if a jealous, privileged white male stabbed his ex-partner and walked free to do a bit of litter picking under the guises of community service.

That said, I believe I saw something on BBC news only today (other news websites are available) claiming prison can be harmful for women’s mental wellbeing and cause more harm than good. I assume this observation and report may have come around following the complete lack of recidivism seen in males after prison.

To follow a vein, perhaps we have a cavalier justice system.
