Has been that way for years. I do not know who the select few who attracted pro bono were but perhaps if your case was deemed worthy by a select few. Even getting pro bono centres to answer a call or email asking for help were ignored. I named solicitors and went to SRA legal ombudsman anyone who would listen and no one cares. It was a gravy train rode and paid for by the public. For those riding the no win no pay gravy train they were rewarded by the claimants who's sorry stories had won rich rewards and all came free of charge via legal aid which now no person in peril can access. I see in the news that only those with means obtain justice. The system is rotten and has been for a very long time. We the public get by as we always have, on our own steam.
