I do not know Mr Mercer or Mr Day personally, but it seems unjust to allege that one cannot be a politician and honest.

There were comments on here yesterday saying how vilified solicitors are in the media – it is as nothing compared to how MPs are portrayed.

I was fortunate enough to have met Jo Cox on a few occasions and still mourn her being taken from us. I have met few people as honest and dedicated as her and rebuke the notion that by being an MP she is inherently dishonest.
