Does anyone else find most parliamentary select committee "kangaroo court" hearings embarrassingly puerile and blatantly self-aggrandising for ill-informed MP's?

It's often just an Aunt Sally job in an awful, cheesy american way.

God forbid I'm ever called to one. The method of questioning is pure, "when did you stop beating your wife" stuff.

I've noticed that some big beasts in the firing line either refuse to attend, or have taken to swotting up on the MPs first and throwing things back at them regarding dodgy expenses claims and the like. Do I recall Keith Vaz being hoist on his own enormous petard?
