Not my usual forum to express a view but sometimes needs must! I have worked in the legal profession for nearly 30 years and I also served in Iraq.

Yes, Iraq is a difficult environment and you are often making snap decisions under pressure. As a human you are not always going to get this right and you accept the consequences of your actions - as you do in all parts of your life - the Army is no different.

My view would be that there are very few "bad apples" in the Army, in the same way they are very few "bad apples" in the legal profession. Do I feel justice should prevail, of course I do. Nobody is free from consequence.

If Mr Day's motive is genuinely for justice then I applaud him but if it is for any other reason then how could anyone morally support the actions of him and his firm?
