The article is slightly misleading which leads to obnoxious and ill-informed comments such as the ones below. A Fellow of CILEx who completes the advocacy course is largely on a par with a Solicitor anyway. Same rights of audience, right to practice alone or run their own law firm just not regulated by the SRA (which i gather is a good thing). So to dismiss them as tea makers or filing clerks is largely ignorant. The days of entitlement for Solicitors have gone, as have the days of smoking in the office and casual sexual assault at the office party. Move with the times dinosaurs.
