Comment

Much is made of the 50% failure rate of the old Part 2s of the 1970's. However, it was only when I got to sit the exams (anyone remember the Ally Pally?) I realised when I chatted to some of my fellow candidates, that some were serial failures. One was former senior RAF officer who had failed every exam for 10 years. Another was someone with broken English, a nervous tic and a sweat problem as soon as the paper was put in front of him.

I think these people distorted the statistics somewhat.

The reality was that if you had gone to a good Russell Group university and the College of Law, and worked hard, then you were in with a decent chance.
