It seems to be a general theme of posts responding to this article that although we are into our third year of independent CILEX practitioners running our own regulated law firms delivering Immigration, Civil, Family & Criminal Litigation & Advocacy, Probate and Conveyancing legal services without having to be supervised by solicitors; there are many who still think that we don’t have parity! Have I got news for you- wake up people! When are ALL of the legal profession going to acknowledge and accept there are firms we are running which must be on par with solicitors firms because if they weren’t we couldn’t deliver reserved legal activities! My clients don’t want to instruct a solicitor, they instruct me as a CILEX Civil Litigator Advocate; they pay me the same rate as a Solicitor because I am qualified in law and they want my lawyer brand which is part of a progressive law practice. It’s time to change the record - I think, and get on with administering the law to those who need our advice, assistance and representation.
