Firms like NAH have economies of scale and skill sets which it is difficult for individual firms to replicate and therefore for panel firms it is decent way to garner new clients. I would prefer that they didn't exist but they do, so for the time being I would not have an issue of working with them. It is however interesting that firms appear to be disappearing in droves. Are they pulling out of PI altogether or are they having a stab at doing there own marketing? Until some clarity / detail on the terms of the Civil Liability Act (eg what is the trigger date DOA or entry into the Portal) are released it is difficult to criticise firms being cautious. What is the point of having hundreds of claims in the cabinet if thy effectively become worthless or having huge caseloads being handled by staff who are de - motivated knowing they will be getting made redundant as soon as there claim volumes run down. These really are desperate times.
