A major uk police force put in an excellent internally developed system that mitigated the pathological flaws in the HMCTS network and messaging system (and the cps system). The old HMCTS messaaging and networking system was condemable on the day of its delivery; nothing to do with its ageing over the years. Its fundemental design principle is that if a message does not get delivered to the court nobody knows! So, it is easy to understand why police, suspects and case evidence do not arrive at the correct court house on the correct sitting or day!
