Same of any business though, perhaps with the exception of some Mutual organisations the John Lewis umbrella to some extent. Apple were a good example – huge, huge cash reserves in the hundreds of millions during a 10 year boom in growth – the staff didn’t get a proportionate pay increase to reflect the company’s success.

It’s standard for people who “steer” the business and make the decisions award themselves the £££ and if the staff don’t like it they can find another firm/company where profits are shared equally… if there is one.
