The full decision makes an interesting read. I felt very sorry for the trainee having been struck off - on reading the decision it appears that the reasoning was primarily due to her having been involved in one issue of dishonesty, and also her delay in reporting anything which left hem to consider she put her own interests above those of clients.

I can see why she was struck off but wonder whether a period of suspension and additional supervision might have been an option.It looks as though she had worked there a s a paralegal for 2 years before starting her training contract, so perhaps not quite so inexperienced as it might at first appear.

Very sad all round. She seems to have been in a very difficult position and to have made understandable, but incorrect, choices about how to deal with it.
